Project Description
Client: Garcia
Location: Nampa, ID
Year Completed: 2021
This small kitchen remodel brought together classic and contemporary design elements to create a fresh and inviting space. The new white paint-grade Shaker cabinets provided a clean and timeless look, while the deep blue island added a bold contrast, serving as both a functional workspace and a striking visual centerpiece.
The kitchen was further enhanced with quartz countertops, offering a sleek and durable surface that complemented the cabinetry. A subway tile backsplash extended across the walls, adding texture and a touch of elegance to the overall design. To maximize storage and functionality, a custom wine rack cabinet was installed above the refrigerator, providing a stylish and practical solution for wine storage. The result was a beautifully updated kitchen that perfectly balanced style and functionality in a small space.
The Challenges
The small kitchen remodel, while focused on aesthetic upgrades, presented the significant challenge of maximizing functionality within a limited space. With every inch of the kitchen needing to be utilized efficiently, creative solutions were essential to meet the homeowner’s needs.
The design incorporated white paint-grade Shaker cabinets and a deep blue island, which not only added visual appeal but also cleverly increased storage and workspace. The installation of the over-the-fridge wine rack cabinet was a strategic choice, turning an often-overlooked area into valuable storage space. Careful planning was required to ensure that the quartz countertops and subway tile backsplash complemented the design while maintaining the kitchen’s practicality. Despite the spatial constraints, the project successfully created a kitchen that was both stylish and highly functional, making the most of every available inch.
