Project Description
Client: Donnelly-Rochon
Location: Nampa, ID
Year Completed: 2023
The small kitchen remodel focused on maximizing both style and functionality with thoughtful updates. The project featured the installation of pre-fabricated cabinets, chosen for their efficiency and streamlined design. These cabinets were complemented by new quartz countertops, which provided a sleek and durable surface perfect for both cooking and entertaining.
To add a touch of elegance and visual interest, a stylish tile backsplash was installed, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space. The combination of the pre-fabricated cabinetry, quartz countertops, and the patterned tile backsplash created a cohesive and contemporary look, transforming the compact kitchen into a modern and inviting space.
The Challenges
The small kitchen remodel presented several significant challenges, primarily due to the property’s older construction. The existing structure was out of plumb and square, which complicated the installation of the pre-fabricated cabinets and countertops. Adjustments had to be made to ensure everything fit correctly and functioned properly within the uneven framework.
Another challenge was matching the new drywall repairs with the existing wall and ceiling textures. The older property had unique texturing that required careful replication to achieve a seamless blend with the new work. This involved meticulous attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship to ensure that the repairs integrated smoothly with the original surfaces. Despite these difficulties, the project was completed successfully, resulting in a beautifully updated kitchen that met modern standards while accommodating the quirks of the older structure.
